Tour & Airport Shuttle Employment We are accepting resumes/applications for an experienced tour chauffeur/guide and/or airport town car chauffeur in:
Full time (usually 20-40/Hrs/ week) on-call position. 2 years professional shuttle van, tour bus or limo experience required. Tour guide/chauffeur position is on-call. Employee would be doing primarily wine tours in the beautiful Oregon wine country, and be expected to learn the Columbia River Gorge tour and Portland City tour to perform these tours as needed; ideally employee would also perform airport transportation. Airport town car position is year-around, and a job can occur anywhere around the clock. An occasional evening limousine job is also fairly common. The ideal candidate would occupy all positions, but I may be willing to separate duties as needed. Tour concierge duties are also available for someone interested in tour planning as well as tour execution, for a nice well-rounded position. Pay rate is $25/Hour for tour chauffeur/ tour guide/ tour prep duties. Pay rate for airport shuttle is a % of the customer’s rate, usually 45-50%. This usually equates to from $25-$40 for the chauffeur per airporter, usually 1-3 airporters/day. Concierge and administrative duties for tours would pay $12.50/Hour at a fixed rate per tour. Ideal position for someone with no job commitments elsewhere. Safe, off-street parking preferred at your residence of the My Chauffeur vehicle (town car sedan for airport shuttle) is preferred. Ideally, the chauffeur would have the ability to keep the vehicle at their residence, for convenience. Because of the length of time required to learn our tours and be trained, we are looking for a long-term commitment (1 year or more). Cell phone, internet connection and printer at home is desirable, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. DMV and criminal background check is required. Chauffeurs/guides are independent and keep their own schedules. They must have excellent people skills and be able to meet deadlines. A professional appearance/demeanor is required for our professional clientele. Good availability for tour duties on Saturdays during the tour season (April-November and Memorial Day & Thanksgiving Day weekends) is desired. Part time position (on-call) would involve learning/performing our various tours. Available hours fluctuate; usually 6-24 hours/week during the season (April-December), primarily weekends. Off-season hours fluctuate, and are usually lesser than on-season hours. No hours are guaranteed with this on-call position. 1-2 years large passenger (12-14 passenger van/bus) vehicle professional experience is REQUIRED. Chauffeur/tour guide experience is desired. This position is for a mature adult who is willing to take the initiative to learn about the position. There will be no 'hand-holding' by management. Being a self-starter is required, though training is offered. Pay rate is $12-$25/Hour for chauffeur/tour guide + prep pay of $12/Hour before and after tours. Good position for someone seeking who is retired, or seeking supplemental income. This position typically also includes occasional airport duties, and a preference is given to the candidate who is interested in and is able to accomplish this. The airport pay rate is a % of the completed job, usually around 42%. Preference is also given to those with professional chauffeuring and/or tour guiding experience. Chauffeurs/guides are independent and keep their own schedules. They must have excellent people skills and be able to meet deadlines. Good availability for tour duties on weekends (particularly Saturday's) during the tour season (April-December) is desired. Hours are mostly daytime (around 11-5), with an occasional evening limousine and/or airport job. Ideally, the job candidate would be able to be available for most offered ‘jobs’, as we are reliant on good availability.
